Kelley Brothers Tree Service

Have a tree-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Can I pay by credit card over the phone?

Kelley Brothers Tree Service accepts cash or check only as noted at the bottom of all estimates and invoices for tree services. As a small business in the Berkshires, we don't currently accept credit cards to avoid charging our customers additional fees.

  • I want to add more work to the job I have already accepted. Can you come back and give me another estimate?

Any additional work homeowners would like to have added or given an estimate for will be discussed at the time the crew is on-site to complete your already accepted tree service. This reduces costs to our customers, as we do charge additional fees for multiple site visits/estimates. It's better for our customers to inform us in advance of additional work to be added and it'll be noted on your work order.

  • I would like to move forward with the work. Can you just add me to the schedule?

All tree service work is added to our schedule and will be confirmed via email upon receipt of your 20% non-refundable deposit.

  • How will I know when my work will be completed?

After being provided with an estimated timeframe until completion, homeowners will then be notified the day before their tree service project will be completed. Homeowners don't necessarily need to be on-site while crews are performing their work unless requested by one of the owners of Kelley Brothers Tree Service.

  • When do I pay my balance?

The balance for any completed tree service projects are due upon receipt of the invoice. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated. Please review our terms and conditions regarding late payments.

  • My trees were removed, and I have been invoiced, but why haven't my stumps been completed and/or invoiced yet?

Any stump work costs associated with any invoice will be deferred until the stump work is completed by the stump crew division. This generally happens within two weeks of your completed tree service depending on the season. The remaining balance due for all stump work is to be paid directly to the stump crew division upon completion.

  • The crew is gone. Why are there logs at the edge of my property?

Any remaining logs that have been left on-site will be picked up and removed by our log truck, generally within two weeks of your completed tree service.

  • Why can't you just squeeze me into your schedule and get here sooner?

Every one of our customers is important to us. As a small business, we're extremely grateful that our schedule is often over full throughout most of the calendar year. Although we would love nothing more than to be able to complete your tree work project immediately upon acceptance, all trimming, tree removal, lot clearing, and stump grinding requests are scheduled in the order deposits are received. Also, all work in the industry is weather-permitting and equipment breakdown free. Any work that's categorized as an emergency tree situation is placed into the schedule at the discretion of the owners.

  • Do you want work year-round?

Yes, we do. Occasionally, we cancel tree service days due to extreme weather conditions.

If you're thinking about tree removal but don’t need it done immediately, keep in mind that, according to the lawn care experts at Lawnstarter, the best time to remove a tree is from late winter to early spring. This is a great window to minimize stress on the tree and your property. Whether you're planning ahead or have an urgent need, feel free to reach out to us anytime—we're always happy to help and discuss your options!
